Website Development Life Cycle

Step 1. Gathering information and assets

This first step helps us determine what the subsequent steps will look like. The most important task at this point is to get a clear understanding of the purpose of your website, the main goals you wish to achieve, and the target audience you want to attract to your site. If your branding has not been fully established at this point, we will work with you to develop your brand strategy and finalize any logos, fonts, and color schemes.

At this stage, we will also lay out a wire frame, or sitemap, of your future website. This will include all of the navigation or menu items that your site will require, organized in such a way that is effective and easy to navigate for your clientele.

Step 2. Content writing and assembly

Now that your sitemap has been created and approved, we will need to compile the site’s content. Content writing usually overlaps with other stages of website creation, and its role can’t be underestimated. It is the very essence of your website, and the message you are trying to convey to your audience. We will gather any existing text and content from you and review in depth to provide any necessary edits. If professional copy-writing is requested, we will sit down with you at this stage and interview you in depth about your business and service offerings and the message or story you are wanting to tell.

Step 3. Page Layouts

We will take the content gathered in the previous step and begin laying out the pages. All visual content such as photos, videos and other imagery will need to be captured at the beginning of this stage. This is when the final vision of your website will start to take shape and we will begin to gather your feedback on the overall look and messaging of the site to be sure that we stay within your vision.

Step 4. Testing, review and launch

We will present you with the final draft of the website. At this point we will begin a thorough review of the site, testing every single link and form across browsers and on mobile devices to make sure everything is running smoothly and looking its very best. Once this has been done, we will gather any necessary remaining hosting or domain information from you and launch your brand new website.
